Dear Friends,
Happy Halloween! And welcome to our second Crowson Circle Newsletter.

You can download a hardcopy of the survey by clicking here. Your input helps us to continue to provide you with the highest quality service and products possible.
I hope you enjoy this newsletter, which chronicles many exciting developments, to include our tactile channel demonstration from CEDIA - one step closer to a separate tactile channel, something which enthusiasts have been waiting for many years to experience. Also, read about our new Web Log - which gives insight into the behind-the-scenes developments at Crowson, and finally, help us to welcome a long list of new Crowson Authorized Dealers to the Crowson family.
Do not hesitate to contact us at info@crowsontech.com with any questions or feedback. We love hearing from you!
Sincerely,

CEDIA Motion Channel Demo a Hit! |
 |
Who would have thought that a Harley Davidson would steal the show? Crowson's motorcycle proved to be one of the most innovative and talked about demos at CEDIA, clearly demonstrating the power and accuracy of the TES 100 (Tactile Effects System). Back at the office, Crowson engineers used seismic measuring equipment to record the motion from the frame of an actual running Harley Davidson. The motion recording was taken of a 2000 Harley Davidson FXST (Softail), equipped with a Stage 1 Screaming Eagle Kit on an Evolution 88 V twin engine and Samson Shorty Shotgun pipes (Gross weight = approx. 630 lbs). At the same time, the audible exhaust was recorded using professional sound recording equipment and mixed-down with cutting-edge sound engineering software. The resulting two channel recording was then played back through conventional audio loudspeakers (sound: channel 1) and the TES100 (motion: channel 2).
In Indianapolis, the Crowson Team contacted custom bike builder John Retzlaff of CycleMax and FBI Customworks to secure a bike for the show. He generously provided us with a Harley Davidson Dyna Wide Glide which whose frame was then supported with the Crowson Tactile Effects System.

NEW PRODUCT: Crowson and Fortress Team Up for the SENTIENT RECLINER |
| |
Sentient/(SEN-shee-uhnt)/adjective: 1. Capable of perceiving by the senses; conscious. 2. Experiencing sensation or feeling.
At this year's CEDIA Expo, Crowson Technology announced the upcoming release of the SENTIENT Home Theatre Recliner, developed jointly with Fortress, Inc. The SENTIENT delivers comfort and motion in one convenient platform by featuring a hidden, permanent installation of Crowson's TES 100M (Mountable) Linear Actuators into Fortress' high-end seating. The chair's weight, frame and cushions were specifically designed to optimize motion effects, ergonomic support and comfort.
SENTIENT recliners also feature a convenient integrated headphone jack for private movie and music enjoyment and are fully configurable into multi-seat rows. Recliners are available in a broad spectrum of colors and, for an additional charge, can be equipped with premium options such as motorized reclining, additional TES 100M Actuators (up to four per seat), and custom upholstery (release date: Feb 2006 - accepting pre-orders now by phone). |
